  • Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM) app launched by Shri Narendra Modi, an Aadhaar-based mobile payment application allowing digital payments without credit or debit card. The app has reached 10 million downloads
  • Setting-up WiFi facility for 5.5 lakh villages by March 2019 with an investment of US$ 577.88 million
  • Plan to auction the 5G spectrum (3,300 MHz and 3,400 MHz) to promote initiatives like IoT, M2M communications, instant HD video transfer & Smart Cities
  • DigiShala (free Doordarshan DTH channel) launched to promote digital payment
  • Railway Ministry to give a digital push, introducing bar-coded tickets, GPS based information systems inside coaches, Wi-Fi facilities at the stations, super-fast long-route train service
